Last week I had an incredible birding outings mixed with birds
photography with retired couple from Netherlands Louis De Vos and his
wife.We enjoyed some boat birding outings along the Albasini Dams as
well as birding outings to a number of birding hotspots such as Ben
Lavin Reserve,Thohoyandou Botanical Garden,Muirhead Dams,Louis
Trichardt Sewerage Dams and Hanglip Forest Picnic Site.
On Wednesday 18th January because of the bad weather conditions early
morning we decided to wait and we end up starting late morning at Ben
Lavin Reserve and the special birds that we have seen amongst others
were;

On Friday early morning we went to Thohoyandou Botanical Garden but
before the Botanical garden we stopped at Tshivhazwa Dam one of the
good dams in the area and we had superb sightings of a pair of
African Pygmy Goose.

On 22nd Sunday morning we went to Hanglip Forest in Louis Trichardt
one of the great picnic sites in the central Soutpansberg just in the
middle of afro mountain forest.When we arrived there it was still
misty but birds did not dissapoint us. A very special birds we saw
there were a pair of;
