Again a nice morning birding outing to Hanglip Forest in Louis
Trichardt with a retired birder from UK produced a nice special list
of birds.
On our way to the top to Hanglip Forest we saw some good birds none
other than Swee Waxbill,Crested Guineafowl,Jackal Buzzard and Steppe
Buzzard and a young Ovambo Sparrowhawk.
At the top at Hanglip Picnic site we had a superb list of birds amongst others;
Black Fronted Bushshrike,
White Starred Robin,
Yellow Streaked Greenbul,
Grey Cuckooshrike
Olive Bushshrike,
Yellow Throated Woodland Warbler,
Olive Woodpecker,
Buff Spotted Flufftail(heard)
Lemon Dove
Knysna Turaco
Purple Crested Turaco
Cape White Eye
Cape Batis
African Olive Pigeon.
