Good
birding over the weekend around Albasini dam with Lynette and her daughter from
Polokwane and yet last week at Ben Lavin Nature Reserve in the Soutpansberg.I
spent last week at Ben Lavin mentoring new bird guides and we had some nice
outings around the reserve and top birds we saw include amongst others
were:

Gorgeous Bushshrike-many sightings

Bearded Scrub-Robin-very common in the garden.

Saturday with Lynette we visited Roodewal Forest and around Albasini Dam.We
ticked so many birds but amongst many birds top birds were;

African Crowned Eagle-a pair in the nest

Mountain Wagtail-3 birds a male and female with immature one.

Half Collared Kingfisher-very common around the dam
