Although today everybody seems to be enjoying and relaxing the Heritage Day for me and Mark Harrington from Cape Town was birding as always spending leisure time with birds.
We met at 06:30 and heard to Muirhead Dams,Entabeni Forest and the Garden looking for Blue Spotted Wood-Dove and the Buff Spotted Fufftail.
We tried for Buff Spotted-Flufftail for about
1 and half hour with no luck.We drive to the Garden started looking for the Dove that eventually paid off with the superb and nice view of a pair of the Blue Spotted Wood-Dove that seems to be mating and chasing one another from one branch to another.
More some of the special birds we enjoyed watching and add to our day list include a single female African Finfoot
Bat Hawk
African Wood Owl
Long Crested Eagle
Tambourine Dove
Golden Weaver
Lesser Honeyguide
Purple Crested Turaco
Black Cuckooshrike.
Happy Birding.
