I just want to let all birdwatching people to know that the African
Finfoot is still there at Luvuvhu River. On Monday 5th July with Pierre
Naude from Tzaneen we went to the dam at around 15:00 to look for
Finfoot and we followed a trail next to the river and we saw a pair of
African Finfoot sitting on the dead log and at first they flew without
having a good view as we were loking against the sun but after walking
some few meters we saw a male African Finfoot swimming in the water at
close range. Some interesting news is that although not confirmed a
female African Finfoot was seen with young ones on the other dam.
Happy Birding.
